Ziggurat 2 is the sequel to Ziggurat by Milkstone Studios, released on Steam in October 2021 after Early Access, for Windows, Mac and Linux. You play a member of a powerful order of mages who must protect humanity by diving into dungeons full of monsters and fearsome Guardians.

Combat is fast and constant: you strafe and dodge while firing weapons of different elements, and keeping an eye on enemy resistances and weaknesses helps you clear rooms quickly. Dungeons are randomly generated, with more verticality and more compact rooms than the first game. Between missions you return to the Citadel to recruit allies and upgrade your equipment and skills, choosing from dozens of unlockable weapons.

The Daily Challenge is an endless-style dungeon with a loadout set for the day, so players compete on the same terms. Patch notes from 2021 show it being tuned: rebalanced enemy health and damage boosts, a fix so DLC ownership no longer changed the starting wand, a fix to the daily screen showing the wrong day's loadout and a fix to the order of the daily challenge leaderboards.

It suits fans of fast arcade shooters and roguelites who want a quick daily run with a score to compare.

2. Open the Daily Challenge to see today's loadout.
3. Fight through the endless dungeon, using elemental weaknesses and constant movement to survive.
4. Go as deep as you can and check your rank on the daily leaderboard.
