Zaggle
Trace the day's 4x4 grid to find five clued words.
Every day: A numbered daily puzzle (for example Zaggle #82 on October 3, 2026), the same 4x4 letter grid for everyone. Each puzzle has five hidden words, each with its own clue and length, and you trace a path through neighbouring letters to spell each one. There are competitive and casual modes, a global rank and a dated archive. New puzzle: Once a day.

Zaggle is a daily 4x4 letter grid. Each day there are five hidden words to find, each given with a clue and a length. You trace a path through touching letters to spell each word. You can play a timed competitive mode with a global rank or a relaxed casual mode.
About Zaggle
Zaggle is a free daily word game played on a 4x4 grid of letters. Every day there is one puzzle, the same for all players, built around five hidden words.
Each word comes with a short clue and its length, so this is closer to a crossword laid over a letter grid than a plain word search. To enter a word you trace a path from letter to touching letter, spelling it out across the grid. A hint is available if you get stuck.
You can switch between a competitive mode, which times you and places you on a global rank, and a casual mode for relaxed play. A dated archive lets you go back and play earlier days, and the game is made by Fox Point.
It suits players who like word searches and clue puzzles and want a compact daily grid that rewards both vocabulary and spotting paths through the letters.
How to play Zaggle
- Open the day's 4x4 grid and read the first clue and its length.
- Work out the word the clue points to.
- Trace a path through touching letters to spell that word.
- Release to submit, then move on to the next clue.
- Find all five hidden words to finish the puzzle.
Tips
- Use the given length to narrow down the answer before hunting for a path.
- Letters can connect in any direction, including diagonally, so scan all neighbours.
- Save the hint for the clue you find hardest, especially in competitive mode where time counts.
