Wordaleh (וורדל׳ה) is Wordle in Hebrew, developed by Yair Hasfari. Each day there is a new five-letter Hebrew word and six tries to find it, with tiles that show which letters are right. Final letter forms are filled in for you at the end of a word, and after playing you can see how other players did that day.

About Wordaleh (וורדל׳ה)

Wordaleh, written וורדל׳ה, is a Hebrew version of Wordle by Yair Hasfari. The game's code dates its launch to January 2022, early in the Wordle boom, and it has stayed a simple one-page game ever since. The whole interface is in Hebrew and reads right to left.

The rules follow the original. You have six tries to guess a real five-letter Hebrew word. After each guess the tiles change colour: green when a letter is in the word and in the right place, yellow when it is in the word but in a different place, and grey when it is not in the word at all. The word changes every day, and a timer counts down to the next one.

Hebrew writing brings one practical twist. Five letters, כ, מ, נ, פ and צ, take a different form at the end of a word. The on-screen keyboard only has the regular forms, and when you type the fifth letter the game switches it to its final form for you, so you do not need to hunt for ך, ם, ן, ף or ץ.

When you finish, you can share your result and open a statistics panel that shows how the day's players spread across one to six guesses, with your own result highlighted.

How to play Wordaleh (וורדל׳ה)

  1. Open Wordaleh and type a real five-letter Hebrew word on the on-screen keyboard; it fills from right to left.
  2. Press שליחה (send) to submit your guess.
  3. Read the colours: green means the right letter in the right place, yellow means it is in the word elsewhere, grey means it is not in the word.
  4. Use the clues to make your next guess; final letter forms at the end of a word are set automatically.
  5. Find the word within six tries, then share your result or check the day's statistics.

Tips

  • Start with a word that uses common Hebrew letters such as ה, ו, י, ר and ל.
  • Remember that ו and י are often used as vowel letters, so try placing them early.
  • Do not worry about final forms: type the regular letter and the game converts it at the end of the word.
  • Think about common word patterns and prefixes, such as words starting with ה or מ.
