Today's Hurdle
Five Wordle-style puzzles in a row, new every day.
Every day: Five new five-letter word puzzles each day: solve one and the next opens, then come back tomorrow for five more. New puzzle: Once a day; the site does not state the time.

Today's Hurdle is a free word game at AARP Games built on the Wordle idea. You guess a five-letter word with colour-coded clues after each try, and when you get it, the next puzzle opens. There are five to solve each day.
About Today's Hurdle
Today's Hurdle is a word game on AARP Games, the puzzle section of the AARP website, run with the games company Arkadium. AARP pitches it to Wordle fans as the game you love with a twist, and the twist is quantity: instead of one word a day, there are five.
Each puzzle works the way Wordle does. You guess a five-letter word and get colour-coded clues after each try, showing which letters are in the word and which are in the right place. When you guess the word correctly, the next puzzle opens, and you can work through up to five in a day. After that, you come back the next day for five new ones.
The game page has Top Scores boards for the day, the week and the month, so you can see how your run compares with other players. Unlike some AARP games, Today's Hurdle is not marked as members only.
It suits people who finish Wordle in a few minutes and want a longer daily session in the same style, without moving to a game with several boards at once.
How to play Today's Hurdle
- Open Today's Hurdle on AARP Games.
- Type a five-letter word and submit it.
- Read the colour-coded clues to see which letters are in the word and which are in the right spot.
- Keep guessing until you find the word; the next puzzle then opens.
- Solve up to five puzzles, then return tomorrow for a new set.
Tips
- Use a consistent opening word with common letters so each puzzle starts from solid information.
- Treat each puzzle as a fresh word; letters from the previous answer tell you nothing about the next one.
- Avoid reusing letters already ruled out on the current puzzle.
- Pace yourself: five puzzles in a row take longer than one Wordle, so play when you have a few spare minutes.
