Kalima (Arabic Wordle)
Guess the day's Arabic word in six tries, right to left.
Every day: A new five-letter Arabic word each day, shared by everyone, with six tries; a practice mode offers random words of four to eight letters. New puzzle: Midnight on your device clock.

Kalima (كلمة) is a Wordle-style game in Arabic. Everyone gets the same Arabic word for the calendar day and has six tries to find it, with green, yellow and grey tiles as clues. The grid and keyboard read right to left, and a practice mode deals random words of four to eight letters.
About Kalima (Arabic Wordle)
Kalima, Arabic for 'word', is a free word-guessing game in Arabic that runs in the browser with no install and no account. Its pages are in Arabic and English and name Mohamed Elorbany as the person behind it.
In the daily challenge everyone shares one solution for the date on their device. When the local date changes, the puzzle moves to a new word, so friends can compare scores without spoiling letters. You have six tries. Green means the right letter in the right spot, yellow means the letter is in the word elsewhere, and grey means it is not in the answer. Every guess must be a whole word in the game's dictionary, not just a string of Arabic letters.
The game is built for Arabic from the start. The grid and the on-screen keyboard follow right-to-left reading, and diacritics such as shadda and madda are not separate tiles: they are stripped when guesses are checked, so the puzzle turns on base letters. The site notes that useful openings differ from English ones, with letters such as alif, lam, mim, nun, ya and ta marbuta turning up often in roots and endings.
Outside the daily word, practice mode lets you pick a length from four to eight letters and play random words as often as you like without touching your daily streak. Stats and streaks are kept in the browser only. It suits Arabic speakers and learners who want a daily vocabulary puzzle in their own script.
How to play Kalima (Arabic Wordle)
- Type a five-letter Arabic word with the on-screen or physical keyboard; the grid fills right to left.
- Submit the guess and read the colours: green is right letter and place, yellow is in the word elsewhere, grey is not in the word.
- Ignore diacritics: guesses are checked on base letters only.
- Find the word within six tries, then share your result.
- Use practice mode to play extra words of four to eight letters.
Tips
- Open with a word that covers common letters and shows early whether the answer ends in ta marbuta or uses alif.
- A yellow letter may appear more than once in Arabic answers, so do not drop it too soon.
- Practice mode does not affect the daily streak, so use it to warm up.
