Arkadium Daily Word Search on Arkadium

Arkadium's Daily Word Search is a free word search with a new grid every day. Find the listed words hidden across, down, diagonally or backwards, with three hints per puzzle and a note about what happened on this day in history.

About Arkadium Daily Word Search

Arkadium runs a set of free daily puzzles in the browser, and its Daily Word Search is the simplest of them: a grid of letters with a list of words hidden inside it, new every day.

You start by choosing which day's puzzle to play; the current one is the new grid, and the archive keeps earlier days so you can catch up on the week. Words can run horizontally, vertically or diagonally, and some run backwards. Each puzzle gives you three hints, and a pencil icon in the corner opens a short note on something that happened on that day in history.

The game is free with ads. It suits players who want a relaxed daily puzzle with no guessing and no timer pressure, and it sits alongside Arkadium's daily crosswords, sudoku and jigsaw.

How to play Arkadium Daily Word Search

  1. Choose today's puzzle, or an earlier one from the archive.
  2. Read the list of words to find.
  3. Drag across the letters of each word you spot: across, down, diagonal or backwards.
  4. Use one of your three hints if a word will not show itself.
  5. Find every word to finish the grid.

Tips

  • Look for rare letters such as Q, J, X and Z first; they are the easiest to spot.
  • Say the word to yourself as you scan; it helps you notice it.
  • Scan each row backwards once; reversed words are easy to miss.
