About Puzzle Words (Wordshake Daily Puzzle)

Puzzle Words sits beside the Daily Wordshake on Wordshake, the Boggle-inspired word site. Where the Wordshake board asks for every word it holds, Puzzle Words asks only for the theme's words.

Each day's puzzle has a punning title and a short list of answers shown as numbered blanks, so you know how many words there are and how long each is (Pack a Punch, on October 7, 2026, hid six words of four to six letters). You drag through touching letters in any direction to spell them. Words that are real but off-theme are not wasted: every four of them fill the Reveal button, which shows the next letter of a word you are missing.

There is no limit on tries. Every day's puzzle is kept in a dated archive, from Brush Aside and Call to Account back through the months.

It suits players who like Strands and want a smaller grid that takes a few minutes.

How to play Puzzle Words (Wordshake Daily Puzzle)

1. Open today's puzzle from Wordshake's Daily Puzzles and read its title.
2. Look at the blanks: one row per hidden word, showing its length.
3. Drag through touching letters to spell words on the theme.
4. Find four off-theme words to earn a Reveal if you are stuck.
5. Fill every row to finish, then share your result.

Tips

• Say the title aloud: it is usually a phrase whose meaning names the theme.
• Start with the longest blank row; it has the fewest possible paths.
• Off-theme words still help, so trace any word you see when stuck.
