CNA's Word Search for 6 October 2026, Lost in Translation: a 15 by 15 letter grid beside a list of writing systems from Arabic to Thai

Word Search is the daily themed word search on CNA Games, the puzzle page of the Singapore news channel. Find every word from the day's list in a grid of letters, dragging from first to last letter in any direction, alone or with a friend. It is free on the website and in the CNA app.

About Word Search (CNA)

CNA's Word Search is a themed word search published every day on the news channel's games page and in its app, running on PuzzleMe from Amuse Labs. Each puzzle has a title and a topic: on 6 October 2026 it was number 260, Lost in Translation, with seventeen writing systems such as Devanagari, Hangul, Cyrillic and Sinhala to find in a 15 by 15 grid.

The words can run in any of eight directions, including backwards and diagonally. You find one by dragging from its first letter to its last, and it is crossed off the list beside the grid. A timer runs at the top while you search.

CNA suggests solving it with a friend: the board's invite button lets a second player join the same grid. The Assist menu can reveal a word when you are stuck. When the list is done CNA shows your time and the answers; the CNA app adds a winning streak, badges and archived puzzles.

It suits players who want a calm daily puzzle with a topic to learn a little about, rather than a race against a short list.

How to play Word Search (CNA)

  1. Open Word Search on CNA Games and read the day's title and word list.
  2. Look for a word in the grid: it can run across, down, diagonally or backwards.
  3. Press on its first letter and drag to its last letter to mark it.
  4. Keep going until every word in the list is crossed off.
  5. Invite a friend from the board if you want to search together.

Tips

  • Hunt for the rare letters first: a word with a K, Y or V is easier to spot than one full of vowels.
  • Scan for the first two letters of a word as a pair rather than for single letters.
  • Leave the longest words for last: by then fewer letters are left unused around them.
