Pathwords daily puzzles on Puzzleship

Pathwords joins its letter tiles with visible bridges, and words can only be traced along them. Each board has a fixed set of words to find, and tiles fade away once no remaining word needs them.

About Pathwords (Puzzleship)

Two tiles side by side mean nothing unless a bridge connects them, so a word you can see may not be reachable. The layout does much of the filtering: a tile with one bridge must start or end any word using it, and heavily connected tiles act as junctions shared by several words.

The board thins as you play. A tile disappears with its bridges once no unfound word passes through it, so anything still on screen is still needed. A rotate button turns the layout a quarter turn, keeping letters upright, which helps spot words running upwards or backwards.

Puzzleship publishes six boards of Pathwords a day, graded from very easy to ultra hard. Each day's boards are numbered and dated, the same for every player, and appear at midnight in your own time zone; earlier days stay playable in the archive. The site is free with ads, and a premium plan removes them.

How to play Pathwords (Puzzleship)

  1. Open Pathwords and pick one of the day's six boards.
  2. Drag across connected tiles to spell a word, following the bridges.
  3. Find every word in the puzzle's set.
  4. Watch tiles fade once no remaining word needs them.
  5. Rotate the board when a section stops giving anything up.

Tips

  • Read the bridges before the letters.
  • A tile with one bridge is the first or last letter of its word.
  • Follow paths and read what they spell, instead of hunting for a word.
  • Use rotation to see words running against your reading direction.
