What's the Book?
Rate itUncover the day's book title one letter at a time before your six pages run out.
Every day: Bookman: one numbered book title a day, the same for every player, uncovered letter by letter with six wrong guesses; plus a two-minute Speed Run once a day. New puzzle: Midnight India Standard Time (18:30 UTC).

What's the Book? hides one book title a day behind blanks. You guess letters to fill it in, and every wrong letter tears out one of your six pages. Two hint cards, the author and all the vowels, each cost a page.
About What's the Book?
The daily game on What's the Book? is called Bookman, a hangman for book titles. Each numbered daily shows the title as rows of blanks under a drawing of a notebook, with a page count of six. You tap letters on the keyboard: a right one drops into every place it appears, and a wrong one costs a page.
If you are stuck you can pull a card. The Author card names who wrote the book and the Reveal All Vowels card fills in every vowel, and each one costs a page, so they are worth playing only when the title is still a blank to you. Solve it with pages to spare and the book joins your shelf; past books are kept in an archive.
Beside Bookman there is a Speed Run, two minutes once a day, where you fill in the missing word as many times as you can. The daily book is the same for everyone and changes at midnight India time. The game comes from the makers of What's the Game?, which runs other small daily games.
It suits readers who like hangman and want a quick daily test of how many titles they know.

- Save the Author card for when you have the shape of the title but cannot place it.
