Information, the Copenhagen daily newspaper, publishes a free sudoku every day on its games page, in an easy version (Nem) and a hard one (Svær). The puzzle player comes from Keesing and has a timer, pencil notes and a stamp tool.

About Sudoku (Information)

Sudoku is one of the free games on the Spil page of Dagbladet Information, next to Ordhjul, Krydsord, Ordnød and Find ordet. It comes in two difficulties, each on its own page: Sudoku nem (easy) and Sudoku svær (hard).

The grid is loaded from Keesing, the puzzle supplier, as the puzzle of the day, so every visitor gets the same sudoku on a given day. The rules are the classic ones: fill the 9x9 grid so that each row, each column and each 3x3 box holds the digits 1 to 9 exactly once.

The player has a timer, a notes mode for pencil marks and a stamp tool, and the interface is in Danish. No login is needed.

How to play Sudoku (Information)

  1. Open Sudoku nem or Sudoku svær on information.dk and press Start.
  2. Pick an empty cell.
  3. Enter a digit from 1 to 9, or switch on Noter to add pencil marks.
  4. Fill the grid so each row, column and 3x3 box contains every digit once.

Tips

  • Start with the easy grid to warm up, then try the hard one.
  • Use notes for cells with only two candidates; they often unlock the rest.
