StarBattle.gg is a new free site for Star Battle, the puzzle also called Two Not Touch, in its one-star form. The grid is split into coloured regions, and every row, every column and every region needs exactly one star, with no two stars sharing an edge or a corner.

The daily is a 6x6 board, numbered from the site's start (#11 fell on 6 October 2026) and the same for every player. It changes at midnight in your own time zone. A timer starts when the board appears and stops on the last correct star, and a counter shows how many people have solved a puzzle that day. Small stars beside the grid turn gold as each row and column gets its star.

Tap a cell to place a star, tap again for an X and once more to clear it; right-click or a long press marks an X at once. Undo, Clear and three hints per puzzle are to hand, and the settings add dark mode, a hidden timer, conflict highlighting and automatic X's around stars. Every board is checked by a solver to have a single solution reached without guessing.

With only six stars to place, a day's puzzle takes a few minutes, which makes it a gentle start for players new to Star Battle or a short warm-up before a bigger Queens board. The site is in English, French and German.

How to play StarBattle.gg

1. Open starbattle.gg; Daily shows today's 6x6 puzzle.
2. Tap a cell to place a star, again for an X, once more to clear it.
3. Put one star in every row, column and coloured region.
4. Keep stars from touching, even at a corner.
5. Place the last correct star to stop the clock, then try Unlimited for more.

Tips

• A region of two or three cells often forces its star from the start.
• If a region lies inside one row, that row's star is in it: cross out the rest of the row.
• Turn on automatic X's in the settings to clear the eight cells around each star.
