Speedle
Rate itMake a five-letter word that matches the day's Wordle colours, one guess a round.
Every day: Three rounds a day, the same for every player: in each, a coloured five-letter hint and one guess to make a word that fits it. New puzzle: Midnight Central Time.

Speedle turns Wordle around. Each of the day's three rounds shows you a word with its letters already coloured green, yellow and grey, and you get one guess to type any real five-letter word that would produce exactly those colours. A stopwatch times how fast you clear all three.
About Speedle
Speedle is a short daily word game from Dailyones Studios. It uses the colours from Wordle, but in reverse: instead of guessing a hidden answer, you are shown the coloured row and must find a word that fits it. There is no single right answer, and each clue has at least four common words that work.
On one day the first hint was GRANT with the R yellow, the A and T green and the G and N grey, so any real word with A third, T fifth, an R somewhere else and no G or N would do. The keyboard mirrors the hint, colouring the letters you must place, move or avoid. The three rounds get harder: round one gives two green letters and a yellow, round two one green and two yellows, and round three three yellow letters with none in place. Repeated letters follow normal Wordle counting.
You get exactly one guess in each round. A made-up word still uses your guess and loses the round, so speed has to be balanced with care. A stopwatch runs only while you are solving and stops on your third guess, and your streak carries on only when you clear all three rounds. Everyone gets the same rounds, and a new Speedle starts at midnight Central Time. Stats stay in your browser with no account.
It suits Wordle players who want a quick twist on the same colour rules, and anyone who likes a word puzzle against the clock.
How to play Speedle
- Read the hint row: green letters must stay in place, yellow letters must appear elsewhere, grey letters must not be used.
- Type any real five-letter word that would give exactly those colours.
- Submit your one guess for the round; a made-up word loses the round.
- Press Enter to move on to the next round, with a harder colour pattern.
- Clear all three rounds as fast as you can to keep your streak.

Tips
- Fill in the green letters first, then try the yellow ones in each open spot.
- Leave out every grey letter, and remember a yellow letter cannot go back in the spot where it is shown.
- Check a word is real before you submit; a made-up one costs the round.
- The timer pauses between rounds, so take a moment to read the next hint before you start typing.
