Slopdle
Rate itLook at a generated picture and rebuild the prompt behind it, one word at a time.
Every day: One numbered generated picture a day, the same for every player, with the prompt that made it hidden: guess the missing words of that prompt until the whole sentence shows. New puzzle: Midnight UTC.

Slopdle shows one machine-made picture a day and hides most of the sentence that produced it. You guess one word at a time; a right word fills every blank it belongs in, and a miss or a skip brings a clue. Finish the prompt, then share your result or compare it in a room with friends.
About Slopdle
Slopdle is a free browser game built around one odd picture a day. Each picture comes from an image generator, and the game keeps the prompt that made it but hides most of its words. Small words such as "A" or "at" are often shown, the rest are grey bars of the right length, and your job is to fill them in from what you can see.
A day's puzzle goes word by word. You type one guess at a time. A right guess is placed in every spot where that word appears, a word close in meaning is flagged as close, and a miss or a tap on Skip reveals the next clue across the hidden words: first whether a word is a noun or an adjective, then its first letter, and at last the word itself. The fewer guesses you need, the better your result.
The scenes are deliberately absurd (on the day we looked, a pageant queen in a tiara stacking wooden blocks in front of a shark tank), so the fun is in naming exactly what the picture shows and guessing which words the prompt used for it. Each puzzle is numbered and dated, and a new one arrives at midnight UTC.
When you finish, you can share a result or create a room: friends who open your link play the same day's picture and appear on a small group leaderboard. No account is needed; you can pick a short name or keep a random three-letter code. It suits players who like Redactle or Pedantle's word-by-word uncovering but would rather look at a picture than read an article.
How to play Slopdle
- Open slopdle.fun and look at the day's picture and the sentence under it, where hidden words show as grey bars of their length.
- Type one word you think is in the prompt and press the arrow to guess it.
- A right word fills every place it appears in the sentence; a related word is marked as close so you know you are near.
- A miss, or a tap on Skip, reveals the next clue: whether a hidden word is a noun or an adjective, then its first letter, then the word itself.
- Keep guessing until the whole prompt is shown, then share your result or open a room to compare scores with friends.
Tips
- Start with the plain nouns you can see in the picture: the person, the main object and the setting.
- Count the letters of each grey bar before you guess: a six-letter gap rules out most synonyms.
- A guess marked close means a related word fits; try the more ordinary synonym a prompt writer would use.
- Skip only when you are stuck, since a clue can also be earned from an honest miss.
Questions
What time does Slopdle reset?
A new picture and prompt arrive at midnight UTC, and each day's puzzle carries a date and a number.
Do I need an account to play Slopdle?
No. The daily puzzle plays straight away in the browser. To join a room with friends you can type a name of up to ten characters or keep a random three-letter code.
What happens when I guess wrong?
A miss reveals the next clue for the hidden words: first a word's part of speech, then its first letter, then the word. A word close in meaning to a hidden one is flagged as close.
