Promptle
Write the prompt that gets an AI to hit the day's creative brief, in three attempts.
Every day: One creative brief a day, picked from a list by the date so everyone gets the same one (for example 'Describe a library where books contain living stories'): write a prompt that gets an AI to produce what is asked, in up to three attempts. New puzzle: Midnight local time.

Promptle is a daily writing game about prompting. Each day there is one creative challenge; you write a prompt, an AI model produces a response, and you are scored on how well the result matches the brief and how clear and concise your prompt was, with three attempts and a bonus twist for the best prompts.
About Promptle
Promptle describes itself as 'like Wordle, but for AI prompts'. The day's challenge is a short creative brief, such as a product pitch for a startup that sells bottled emotions or a poem about a robot's first day at art school. You do not write the answer yourself; you write the instructions, and an AI writes the piece from your prompt.
Each attempt is scored on three dimensions: how well the output hits the brief, how clear and concise your prompt is, and a third creative measure, combined into a score out of ten. You have three attempts, and the game can show an example of what a perfect response might look like. Strong prompts unlock a bonus round, where a twist is applied to the original brief.
The brief is picked from a list of a few hundred by the date, so everyone playing on the same day writes for the same challenge. Streaks are kept in the browser. It suits people who use AI tools and want to practise writing precise instructions, and writers who enjoy a daily creative constraint.
How to play Promptle
- Read today's creative challenge.
- Write a prompt for the AI that you think will produce exactly what the brief asks for.
- Submit to see the AI's output and your score for accuracy, clarity and creativity.
- Refine your prompt over up to three attempts; a top score unlocks the bonus twist round.
Tips
- Name the format, length and tone you want; vague prompts get vague output.
- Cut words that do not change the result; conciseness is part of the score.
- Include the key elements of the brief explicitly so the output cannot miss them.
- Use the feedback from your first attempt to tighten the second rather than starting again.
