Shrimpillion's start screen for cast 25: five questions at 30 seconds each, a scale of gems from Fossilised dung at 0 points to the Shrimpillion at 100, a score panel out of 500 and the Cast off butto

Shrimpillion is a free daily quiz for Old School RuneScape players. Five prompts a day, like naming a piece of Barrows equipment, give you 30 seconds each; every correct answer scores, but the obvious ones are worth almost nothing and the obscure ones up to 100 points.

About Shrimpillion

Shrimpillion is one of the daily Old School RuneScape games on Skel's Games, the site built by Skeldoor that also runs Questdle, Skilldle and Examindle. Each day is called a cast and numbered, starting from the first on 11 September 2026, and the five questions are the same for everyone, with one attempt a day. A new cast comes at midnight UTC.

The idea is close to the TV quiz Pointless. A prompt asks for something from the game, say a unique drop from a God Wars Dungeon boss, and you have 30 seconds to type an answer. Every answer on the list scores, but each one carries its own rating from 0 to 100 for how obscure it is: a Bandos chestplate is worth a few points, a Saradomin's light nearly a hundred. Guesses that are not on the list are shown as misses, and you can keep trying until one counts or the clock runs out.

Scores are shown as OSRS gems, from Fossilised dung for 0 to 5 points through Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby, Diamond, Dragonstone, Onyx and Zenyte, up to the Shrimpillion itself for the rarest answer on the list. Your total is out of 500. After the round you can open each prompt to see every answer that counted, and the start screen shows how many players have finished that day and their average score. A share line gives the cast number and your five gems, and a streak counts the days you play.

It suits players who know the corners of the game: the off-set Barrows pieces, the less used spells, the quest items most people forget. It is free in the browser and needs no account, and there is a form to suggest questions and to report a wrong one.

How to play Shrimpillion

  1. Open skelsgames.com/shrimpillion and press Cast off.
  2. Read the prompt and type an Old School RuneScape answer that fits it before the 30 seconds run out.
  3. If your guess is not on the list, try another; the first one that counts is scored by how obscure it is.
  4. Play all five prompts, then see your total out of 500 and each answer shown as a gem.
  5. Open a prompt to see every answer that would have counted, and share your gems.

Tips

  • Skip the first answer that comes to mind: it is the one most players give and is usually worth almost nothing.
  • Within a set, the pieces people rarely use, like helms and leg slots, tend to score more than the famous weapon or body.
  • Do not wait too long for the perfect obscure answer: a common answer on the buzzer still beats no answer.
