Every day: One Old School RuneScape NPC a day, the same for every player and numbered by day, to name in six guesses from hints that open up after each miss. New puzzle: Midnight UTC.

NPCdle is a free daily guessing game for Old School RuneScape players. You get one NPC's examine text and six guesses; each wrong guess reveals another hint, from its location and right-click options to a related quest, combat level or shop, and finally its picture.
About NPCdle
NPCdle is a small daily game made by Ciatzo for players of Old School RuneScape. Every day at midnight UTC it picks one non-player character from Gielinor, the same for everyone, and gives the puzzle a day number. The first day in its archive is in March 2026.
The round opens with the NPC's examine text, the one-line description you get in the game. You type a name, pick it from the suggestions, and if it is wrong the next hint unlocks: first where the NPC can be found, then the options you see when you right-click it, then one of a related quest, its combat level or the shop it runs. After four misses its picture appears as the last hint, and you have six guesses in all.
There is no grid of attribute columns as in many -dles. The hints come in a fixed order, from vague to specific, so a player who knows the game's examine texts can win on the first try, and one who does not still has a fair chance by the picture. The name box suggests matches as you type, so spelling and capitals do not matter.
An archive lists every past day by month, so new players can catch up on earlier NPCs. It suits players who read examine texts and wiki pages for fun, and it needs no account.

Tips
- Examine texts often joke about an NPC's job or mood; think of who in the game fits that line before you guess.
- Use your first guess on an NPC from the region the text suggests, since the location hint comes next anyway.
- Right-click options such as Trade, Pickpocket or Talk-to narrow the field to shopkeepers, thieving targets or quest givers.
