SheepVote's page: the Don't be a sheep logo, the leaderboard, a countdown to new questions and yesterday's result bars for How late would you knock on a neighbor's door?

SheepVote asks everyone the same two questions each day, each with three answers. You vote for what you really think, then bet on which answer the crowd will choose least. Results come the next day, with points and a leaderboard for those with an account.

About SheepVote

SheepVote's motto is Don't be a sheep. Every day it puts two light questions to all its players, such as which pizza you would never order at a restaurant, or how late you would knock on a neighbour's door, each with three possible answers. Many of the questions are suggested by players, and the page names who proposed each one.

Each question has two parts. First you vote, with no points at stake, for the answer you really believe. Then comes the bet: which answer will have been the least chosen by everyone? Guessing the minority answer is how you score, so the game is about reading other people rather than knowing facts. A countdown shows when the next questions arrive, and yesterday's results appear as percentage bars you can share as text or an image.

You can vote without an account and your answer still counts in the day's statistics, but betting, points, streaks and the leaderboard need a free account. The top player each month is mailed a SheepVote sticker. Players can propose one question a day for a point if it is chosen. The site runs in English and French and can be added to a phone's home screen with reminders.

How to play SheepVote

  1. Open sheepvote.eu/en to see today's two questions.
  2. For each question, vote for the answer you really think.
  3. With a free account, bet on the answer you expect the fewest players to choose.
  4. Come back after the countdown ends to see yesterday's results and your points.
  5. Optionally propose a question of your own for a future day.

Tips

  • Do not bet on your own favourite: the goal is the answer others will avoid.
  • Think about which answer sounds plausible but slightly embarrassing to admit.
  • Check the last seven days of results to see how the crowd tends to vote.
  • Set a reminder so you do not miss a day's bets and break your streak.
