The Split
Rate itAnswer one question a day, then predict how the whole world splits.
Every day: One yes-or-no style question a day for everyone in the world, dated; you answer it and predict what share of Earth picks each side, and the result is revealed at 00:00 UTC. New puzzle: 00:00 UTC.

The Split asks the whole world the same two-choice question each day. You pick your side, then slide a bar to guess what percentage of Earth will agree. At 00:00 UTC the result is revealed with a vote count and a world map.
About The Split
The Split is a one-question daily game built around a world poll. Each day has one dated question with two answers, from everyday dilemmas to hypotheticals; on the day this page was written it asked whether you have a friend you secretly do not like.
Answering is only half of it. Once you pick a side, a slider asks you to predict what share of Earth will say Yes, starting at 50 percent. The polls close at 00:00 UTC, when the previous day's question is revealed: the percentage the world chose, the number of votes, how many countries took part and a map coloured by which side each country leaned to. A leaderboard and your own record keep track of your predictions.
The site says it is anonymous by design, with no accounts and no tracking, and there is a tip jar rather than a subscription. Players can also suggest a question for Earth. It suits anyone who enjoys reading the crowd more than knowing facts, and takes about a minute a day.
How to play The Split
- Open The Split and read today's question.
- Pick one of the two answers.
- Move the slider to predict what percentage of the world will choose Yes (leaving it at 50 still counts, but you have to touch it).
- Submit, then come back after 00:00 UTC to see how the world split and how close your prediction was.

Tips
- Your own answer and your prediction are separate: predict the crowd, not yourself.
- Check yesterday's reveal on the front page to get a feel for how players lean.
- Remember the voters are mostly players of an English-language web game, not a random sample of the planet.
