Rječkaš? is a Croatian version of Wordle. Each day there is one numbered word of the day, a five-letter Croatian word in its base form, to find in six tries. The digraphs lj, nj and dž count as single letters, as they do in Croatian spelling.

About Rječkaš?

Rječkaš? is a Croatian daily word game built on the Wordle formula. The page header shows the day's number ("Dan 1717" on 3 October 2026), so everyone playing on the same day works on the same word and can compare results.

The word of the day has five letters, not necessarily all different, and is always in its base form: an infinitive for verbs or a nominative for nouns. Your guesses can be any valid Croatian five-letter word in any form, which gives you more freedom to test letters. After each guess the tiles turn green, yellow or grey to show which letters are placed, present elsewhere or missing.

The main difference from other Croatian versions is spelling: Rječkaš treats lj, nj and dž as one letter each, the way the Croatian alphabet does, so a word like LJUBAV fits in five tiles. The keyboard also has Č, Ć, Đ, Š and Ž. The word list comes from a Croatian dictionary compiled by Goran Igaly, as credited in the rules.

It suits Croatian speakers and learners who want one short puzzle a day; it is free and needs no account.

How to play Rječkaš?

  1. Open Rječkaš? and type a valid five-letter Croatian word.
  2. Remember that lj, nj and dž take up one tile each.
  3. Submit the guess and read the colours: green is the right letter in the right place, yellow is in the word elsewhere, grey is not in the word.
  4. Use the clues and find the day's word within six tries.

Tips

  • The answer is always a base form (infinitive or nominative), so verbs often end in -ti or -ći.
  • Your guesses can be inflected forms, which helps you test awkward letters.
  • Do not forget the digraph tiles: lj, nj and dž are easy to overlook.
