HádejSlova.cz is a Czech version of Wordle. Every day there is one five-letter Czech word for everyone to guess in six tries, and Czech letters with diacritics such as Č, Ř and Ž make it harder than the English game. The new word appears at 18:00 rather than midnight.

About HádejSlova.cz

HádejSlova.cz ("guess the words") is a Czech take on Wordle that has run since the 2022 Wordle boom. The site calls itself a daily warm-up for the brain, and the header counts the words so far: on 3 October 2026 it showed word number 1722 with a countdown to the next one.

A day's puzzle works like the original. You type a five-letter Czech word, submit it, and the tiles turn green for a letter in the right place, yellow for a letter that is in the word but elsewhere, and grey for a letter that is not there. You have six rows to find the word, and then you can compare your result with friends.

Two things set it apart. Letters with diacritics count as separate letters, so an A is not an Á and a C is not a Č, which gives you many more letters to rule in or out. And the word changes at 18:00, so the new puzzle arrives in the early evening instead of at midnight.

It suits Czech speakers and learners who want one short word puzzle a day. It is free, runs in the browser without an account, and shows ads.

How to play HádejSlova.cz

  1. Open hadejslova.cz and press Zahájit hru (start game).
  2. Type a five-letter Czech word and submit it.
  3. Read the colours: green is the right letter in the right place, yellow is in the word elsewhere, grey is not in the word.
  4. Use the clues for your next guess and find the word within six tries.
  5. Come back after 18:00 for the next word.

Tips

  • Treat letters with and without diacritics as different letters: a grey E says nothing about Ě or É.
  • Start with a word that has several common vowels and consonants, such as one with A, O, E, R and S.
  • Remember the reset is at 18:00, so an evening session gives you a fresh word.
