Quotype is a short typing game on itch.io. Each day it offers one handpicked quote from a famous person, chosen to be thought-provoking, uplifting or otherwise interesting, and you type through it in the browser.

About Quotype

Quotype is a small browser game by GG Undroid Games, made in Unity and published on itch.io in March 2023. The idea is simple: each day there is a quote of the day, picked by hand from the words of famous people, and you type it out letter by letter.

You click inside the game window and start typing. Pressing the down arrow restarts the quote of the day if you want another go.

The game is free to play in the browser with no account, and a typing sound accompanies each key press. The same studio also makes Word or Cold, a guess-the-word game.

How to play Quotype

  1. Open Quotype on itch.io and click inside the game window.
  2. Start typing the quote of the day shown on screen.
  3. Keep going until you have typed the whole quote.
  4. Press the down arrow to restart the quote if you want to try again.

Tips

  • Click inside the game window first, or your key presses will not register.
  • Read a few words ahead so you type smoothly.
  • Restart with the down arrow to try for a cleaner run.
