Quotadle
Rate itType the day's quotation as fast as you can and see where you rank in the world.
Every day: One quotation a day, the same for every player, typed against the clock for a words-per-minute score and a world rank. New puzzle: Midnight Mountain Time (the game day follows the America/Edmonton calendar).

Quotadle is a daily typing game built on quotes from notable people. Each day everyone gets the same short quotation, shown faintly on the page, and types over it as quickly and accurately as they can. Your speed in words per minute is ranked against every other player that day.
About Quotadle
Quotadle opens on a plain page with the day's quotation written in pale grey and a cursor at its start, for example We sell, or else. There is no menu to get through: you start typing, and the letters fill in over the grey text as you go. The game describes itself as a daily game of quotes from formidable individuals.
The score is your speed, in words per minute, along with the time you took. When you finish, Quotadle places you on that day's world ranking and keeps both your first run and your best run, so the share text shows your best speed, your world rank out of all players and how your first attempt went. Pasting the quote is blocked on ranked runs and resets the attempt.
Every player types the same quotation, and a new one arrives each day on Mountain Time. Links under the page let you play yesterday's quote and check when the next game is due, and an optional account keeps your results. The game comes from O'Flaherty Bros. Games.
It suits fast typists and anyone who wants a few seconds of daily practice with a quotation to read along the way.
How to play Quotadle
- Open Quotadle and read the day's quotation shown in grey.
- Start typing; your letters fill in over the grey text.
- Type the whole quotation, punctuation included, as quickly and cleanly as you can.
- See your words per minute, your time and your rank among the day's players.
- Try again to improve your best run, or share your result.
Tips
- Read the whole quote once before your first key press so nothing surprises you mid-run.
- Watch the punctuation: commas and full stops count as part of the quote.
- Accuracy beats rushing, since fixing a mistake costs more time than a steady pace.
- Your first run is kept separately, so make it count before you practise.
