Every day: One numbered quote a day, the same for everyone, with every letter replaced by an emoji. Two clue words in the same emoji code unlock letters; once the quote is decoded you pick who said it. New puzzle: Midnight UTC.

Emoji Wisdom is a daily cryptogram in emoji. A well-known quote is written with one emoji standing for each letter, and two short word clues in the same code give you a way in. Type the letter behind each emoji until the quote reads clearly, then choose who said it.
About Emoji Wisdom
Emoji Wisdom hides one famous quote a day behind an emoji alphabet. Every letter of the quote is swapped for an emoji, a fox for A or a balloon for T, with a new key for each puzzle. The daily web puzzle is numbered, starting from Daily Quote No. 1 on 2 October 2026, and changes at midnight UTC, so everyone gets the same quote.
The page opens with two clue cards above the quote, such as The hottest season or The main meal of the day. Each clue's answer is written in the same emoji code, so solving a clue gives you real letters to carry into the quote. You tap an emoji and type its letter on the keyboard, and the letter fills in everywhere that emoji appears. From there it plays like a classic cryptogram: short words, repeated letters and common endings help you fill in the rest.
When the quote is decoded, the game asks Who said it? and offers four names. A timer and a streak are kept in your browser, and you can share the puzzle with a friend. The quotes come from public domain sources such as Shakespeare and Benjamin Franklin, with a link to the source text. The web daily is free with no account; an Emoji Wisdom app for iPhone has more puzzles.
It suits cryptogram players who want a lighter, shorter daily with a built-in start, and word game players trying codes for the first time.
How to play Emoji Wisdom
- Open the daily page and look at the two clue cards above the quote.
- Solve a clue in your head, tap its first emoji and type the letters of the answer.
- Every emoji you set fills in across the whole puzzle, including the quote.
- Use the letters you have to work out the remaining words of the quote, tapping and typing as you go.
- When the quote is complete, pick who said it from the four names offered.
- See your time and streak, and share the puzzle if you like.
Tips
- Start with the clues: they are short everyday words and give you several letters at once.
- Look for one-letter words in the quote; they are almost always A or I.
- Repeated emoji pairs often stand for double letters such as LL, EE or SS.
- The quotes are well-known lines, so once a few words appear, try the whole line from memory.
