Quadragonle
Crack the symbols in a 4x4 grid to make four words across and four down.
Every day: One numbered 4x4 grid a day (#994 on 2 October 2026), the same for everyone, where each coloured symbol stands for a letter: work out the code and fill four words across and four down. New puzzle: Once a day (numbered puzzles; the time is not stated).

Quadragonle is a daily word puzzle that mixes a codeword with a tiny crossword. A 4x4 grid is filled with coloured shapes, each standing for one letter; you work out which letter each shape represents so that all four rows and all four columns read as words.
About Quadragonle
Every Quadragonle grid is a word square in disguise. The sixteen cells hold coloured symbols such as hexagons, diamonds and triangles, the same symbol always meaning the same letter, and some letters may already be revealed. Once solved, the four rows and four columns are all real four-letter words, as in the example where POPS, AREA, PEAS and ASKS read across and PAPA, ORES, PEAK and SASS read down.
You click a tile and type a letter, which fills every tile with that symbol, and move around with the arrow keys; double-clicking switches between row and column entry. Hints are available, including one that updates the keyboard, and the share text records the puzzle number, your solve time, the difficulty and the number of hints used.
A new numbered puzzle appears each day for all players. It suits fans of codeword puzzles and small crosswords who enjoy deducing letters from repeated patterns.
