Glyph codeword on mindloftdaily.com: a numbered grid with the letters C, U and D filled in, an alphabet bar with used letters struck out, and the number-to-letter key from 1 to 26

Glyph is a free daily codeword from Mind Loft, the crossword with no clues. Every letter in the grid is replaced by a number from 1 to 26, the same number always meaning the same letter, and you work out the whole key from three given letters and the shapes of the words.

About Glyph (Mind Loft)

Glyph is a codeword. The grid looks like a crossword, but instead of clues every square shows a number, and each number stands for one letter throughout the board. All 26 letters are used, each exactly once in the key. You start with two or three letters given, and the rest comes from reasoning.

Tap a square to select its number, then type or tap a letter: every square with that number fills at once, and the letter is struck from the alphabet bar. The grid itself is the constraint: a short word between two blocks, a number that keeps ending words, or a three-letter shape with the same number at both ends all narrow the possibilities, and every letter you place spreads across the board. Since the key uses all 26 letters once, the letters you have ruled out tell you as much as the ones you have placed.

Each board is checked to use only common dictionary words and to have exactly one consistent solution, so it can always be cracked by deduction. You have three Checks that audit the board, each costing 3 points, so a clean solve without them scores 10. A new grid arrives every day at midnight Eastern, and Sundays bring a larger 17x17 edition.

  3. Every square with that number fills at once; use the crossings to confirm or fix it.
  4. Keep going until all 26 numbers are assigned; use Check only if you need an audit.

Tips
