PuzzlePic
Name the hidden photo while as few of its 24 pieces as possible are showing.
Every day: One photo a day hidden behind 24 pieces that open one at a time; everyone plays the same photo with the pieces revealed in the same order, and fewer pieces at a correct guess means a better score. New puzzle: Once a day (the listing does not state the time).

PuzzlePic is an iPhone guessing game built on one hidden photo a day. The picture sits behind 24 pieces that are revealed one at a time, and you try to name it as early as you can. Everyone gets the same photo with the pieces in the same order, so scores can be compared with friends.
About PuzzlePic
PuzzlePic's daily puzzle is a photo covered by a grid of 24 gray pieces. Pieces open one at a time, and at any point you can type a guess at what the picture shows. The fewer pieces on view when you guess right, the better your score. A small label above the grid gives the kind of answer, such as Guess the thing.
The early pieces are often just texture or a corner of the scene, so the game is about reading small details: the curve of a pen nib, a line of handwriting, the edge of an ink bottle. Because every player sees the same photo with the pieces revealed in the same order, a score of nine pieces means the same thing for everyone, and results can be compared with friends. The app keeps a streak and stats.
Beyond the daily there are two social modes. Head to Head pairs you with a random opponent on one shared puzzle: you take turns guessing, 60 seconds per turn, and the first correct guess wins. Squads are private groups where friends take turns posting photos from their own camera rolls, with a hint, for the others to guess within 24 hours.
PuzzlePic is made by Richard Rohrbach and came out on the App Store in April 2026. It suits players of picture-reveal dailies who like to commit to an early guess.

Tips
- Read the label above the grid first: it tells you what kind of answer to look for.
- Textures and materials (paper, metal, wood) narrow the answer fast; think about where they would appear together.
- A wrong guess early costs less than waiting too long when you are fairly sure.
- Pieces near the middle usually show the subject; edge pieces often show only the background.
