Park the Bus, Break the Bus turn 1 of 4: a cartoon football pitch with a keeper and a wall of five defenders in red-outlined zones, the Maestro on the ball, and Move, Pass, Shoot and Line-Breaker butt

Park the Bus is a free turn-based football puzzle for the browser, built for a phone in portrait. You make one move a turn, moving, passing, shooting or using a player's ability, while red arrows show where every defender will step next. Alongside 27 hand-built puzzles there is a Daily Bus, the same board for everyone each day, with ten seconds a turn and a share grid.

About Park the Bus

Park the Bus turns a packed defence into a puzzle. Each turn you pick one of your players and one action: move, pass, shoot or a signature ability such as Bulldoze or Line-Breaker. Every action costs the whole turn, and the defence answers each one. Red arrows show exactly where every defender will step next, so getting caught is something you could have read rather than bad luck.

The Daily Bus is a new board each day, seeded from the date in UTC, so everyone faces the same defence. It is a break-the-bus puzzle: score within five turns, with par at three, and only ten seconds to choose each move. The game only uses boards its solver can finish, and when you are done it gives a grid of coloured squares to share. Besides the daily there are 27 hand-built puzzles in Break the Bus, Park the Bus and Counter modes, each proven solvable, with par set to the minimum number of turns. Three stars needs par with no undo. Coins you win open meme packs that sign new players for your squad.

Park the Bus is made by one person, eyalh, and was released free on itch.io in September 2026. It plays in the browser, tapping a player, an action and a target. The page says the character art was generated with Gemini and that the rules, puzzles, solver and code are hand-made.

How to play Park the Bus

Tips

  • Read every red arrow before you act, since each defender's next step is shown.
  • Signature abilities like Bulldoze can clear a path that a plain move cannot.
  • Aim for par: the solver sets it at the fewest turns the board allows.
