Chessfisher
One chess puzzle a day for everyone, from an easy Monday to a master-level Sunday.
Every day: One chess puzzle a day, the same for everyone, getting harder from Easy on Monday to Master on Sunday; solving it unlocks two bonus puzzles. The World Gauntlet adds one ranked survival run a day with a daily podium. New puzzle: Once a day (the listing does not state the time).

Chessfisher is a daily chess puzzle app for iPhone. Everyone gets the same numbered puzzle each day, rising in difficulty through the week, and you share your time, mistakes and streak. Its Gauntlet mode adds a daily survival run ranked against every player in the world.
About Chessfisher
Each day Chessfisher sets one numbered chess puzzle, the same for every player. You are told who is to move and find the winning line move by move; the app tracks your time and mistakes, and a hint and a reset are at hand. Difficulty climbs across the week, from Easy on Monday to Master on Sunday. Solving the daily unlocks two bonus puzzles, and a Daily Rating moves with every solve, with a chart of how it has changed.
The Gauntlet is a survival mode. Puzzles get harder while the clock gets shorter, and every solve takes you deeper; the score is called Depth. Lose your lives and the Dive is over. The World Gauntlet is one Dive a day ranked against every player, with a top-three podium and a notification with your placing when results are in. Freestyle Gauntlet is unlimited.
Results share in one tap, so you can see who among your friends solved the day faster or with fewer mistakes. The app keeps streaks, solve times, mistakes and podium finishes for both the daily and the Gauntlet. There are fourteen board themes and premium piece sets, and signing in with Apple or Google syncs across devices. It works in portrait or landscape.
Chessfisher is made by Andrew Sutter and came out in April 2026.

Tips
- Look at every check first; daily puzzles often start with a forcing move.
- Expect harder puzzles later in the week and give Sunday's Master more time.
- In the Gauntlet the clock shrinks, so bank easy solves quickly to save lives for the deep puzzles.
- Use the reset rather than a hint when you only need a fresh look at the position.
