About Daily Chess Puzzles (app)

Daily Chess Puzzles is made by Stefan Stangl and has been on the App Store since 2020. It draws its puzzles from what the listing calls one of the leading chess platforms, so positions come from real games: you see the board and whose move it is, and you find the winning line.

Each day a special Daily Challenge waits alongside the open-ended puzzle stream. A September 2026 update added daily streaks: a flame at the top of the screen shows whether today's challenge is still open, tapping it shows your current and best streak and the last four weeks, and Game Center achievements mark 7, 30, 100 and 365 days in a row.

Game Center integration also gives a worldwide leaderboard and lets you compare with friends. Between challenges you can keep solving with Next Puzzle or ask for a hint.

It suits club players who want a daily tactics habit and beginners training their eye for patterns.

How to play Daily Chess Puzzles (app)

1. Open the app; the flame at the top shows if today's Daily Challenge is still waiting.
2. Start the Daily Challenge and note whose move it is.
3. Move the pieces to play the best line until the puzzle is solved.
4. Keep solving each day to grow your streak, or continue with more puzzles.

Tips

• Look at checks, captures and threats first.
• If a move seems too simple, check the opponent's best reply before playing it.
• Use the extra puzzles after the daily to train the same patterns.
