Orwdle How To Play box listing Easy, Medium, Hard and Extra levels and green and yellow feedback colours, over a scrambled word LLEBA

Orwdle is a daily anagram game with four levels. Each day it scrambles a five-letter word for Easy, six for Medium, seven for Hard and eight for Extra, and you have three attempts on the shorter words and two on the longer ones. Guesses are marked Wordle-style, so a wrong try still tells you which letters are in place.

About Orwdle

Orwdle shows a row of scrambled letters and asks for the hidden word. You click the letters or type to build a guess and press Check. Letters in the right position turn green, and letters that belong elsewhere turn yellow, which helps if your first idea is a different anagram of the same letters.

There are four difficulties, each with its own word: Easy uses five letters and Medium six, both with three attempts; Hard uses seven letters and Extra eight, both with two attempts. Finishing all four in a day unlocks a small surprise. Stats are tracked per difficulty, and results can be copied to share.

The puzzles are numbered and served for each date, so everyone gets the same words, and a countdown shows when the next set arrives at midnight. Orwdle comes from sourcecode.com.au.

It suits anagram fans and players who want a quick word fix with a choice of difficulty.

How to play Orwdle

  1. Open Orwdle and pick Easy, Med, Hard or Extra.
  2. Look at the scrambled letters for that level.
  3. Click the letters or type to form your guess, then press Check or Enter.
  4. Use green (right place) and yellow (wrong place) feedback for your next try.
  5. Solve each word within its attempts: three for 5 and 6 letters, two for 7 and 8.

Tips

  • Look for common endings such as -ING, -ED, -ER and -LY first.
  • Place unusual letters like J, Q, X and Z where they usually sit in English words.
  • If two words fit, use the first attempt to test the one that sorts out more letters.
  • Start with Easy to warm up before the two-attempt levels.
