Daily Anagram is a small browser game made for Mini Jam 217 in which each day brings one word to turn into an anagram. The letters sit in bubbles you can push about, a timer runs while you work, and after you submit it compares your result with everyone who solved that day's word.
About Daily Anagram
Daily Anagram was made by Anogrm in about 48 hours for Mini Jam 217, whose theme was Whimsy and whose limitation was As simple as possible. The maker says the idea came from the short daily puzzles on LinkedIn: games you play for half a minute on a lunch break and come back to the next day.
Each day the game shows the date and the day's word, written out in a row of round letter bubbles. Your task is to make an anagram of it, a different word from the same letters, then press submit. A clock in the corner counts the seconds while you work.
The bubbles are the whimsical part. They wobble, stretch and pop with soft sounds as you move them about on a blue underwater background, and the title screen itself is spelled out in the same bubbles.
After you finish the day's puzzle the game shows stats built from everyone who has completed it, so you can see how you did against other players. There is one word a day and no unlimited mode; the maker kept it to the daily puzzle to fit the jam's limitation.
How to play Daily Anagram
- Open the itch page and press play in the browser.
- Read the day's word at the top, shown under the date.
- Move the letter bubbles into a new order that spells a different word.
- Press submit, then look at the stats for that day's word.

Tips
- Try moving an S or an E to the other end of the word first: many short anagrams come from that alone.
- Look for a common ending such as -ER, -ES or -ING inside the letters and build the rest around it.
- The clock is running, so decide on a word before you start moving bubbles.

Is the Daily Anagram word the same for everyone?
Yes. There is one word per day, and after you finish it the game shows stats from everyone who completed that day's puzzle.
Is there an unlimited mode?
No. The maker kept it to one daily puzzle to fit the jam's As simple as possible limitation.
