Militarydle
Name the country from a chart of its armed forces, in six guesses.
Every day: One hidden country a day, the same for every player, shown as a chart of its armed forces: identify it in six guesses using budget, equipment, alliance and distance feedback. New puzzle: Midnight, local time.

Militarydle is a daily guessing game about the world's armed forces. The day's hidden country appears as a chart of its military, from warships and artillery to rifles and drones, with its defence budget on top. Each guess compares your country with the answer on budget, personnel, equipment, alliances and distance.
About Militarydle
Militarydle starts each day with one hidden country and a treemap of its military. Tiles show categories such as warships, artillery, armour, fighters, submarines and drones, sized by relative capability rather than spending, and hovering a tile reveals the equipment, for example D-30 howitzers or BTR-60 armoured carriers. The defence budget sits above the chart.
You type a country and press Guess. The game compares your guess with the answer field by field: budget, active personnel, tanks, aircraft, warships, submarines, population, firepower rank, region, continent, NATO membership, conscription and alliances. Green marks a match, orange means close (a number within 20 percent, the same continent, or capitals less than 2,000 km apart), and arrows show whether the answer is larger or smaller and which way it lies on the map. You have six attempts.
Everyone gets the same country on a given date, so streaks and the leaderboard can be compared. There is also an Unlimited mode for practice and an archive of earlier days, plus explainers on equipment types. The dataset covers 165 country profiles with sources listed on the site.
It suits players who follow defence news, fans of geography dailies who want harder clues, and anyone who likes reasoning from numbers.
How to play Militarydle
- Open Militarydle and study the chart of the hidden country's armed forces and its budget.
- Hover or tap tiles to see the equipment in each category.
- Type a country and press Guess.
- Read the feedback: green is a match, orange is close, arrows point toward the answer's value and direction.
- Find the country within six guesses, then try Unlimited or the archive.
Tips
- Start with a mid-sized country to test budget, region and force size at once.
- Equipment origin is a strong clue: Soviet-era kit and Western kit point to different alliances.
- Use the distance arrow from each guess to triangulate the region.
- Remember that a lower rank number means a stronger military.
Questions
Is the hidden country the same for everyone?
Yes. The site says every player sees the same hidden country on a given date.
How many guesses do I get?
Six.
Can I play more than once a day?
