Lockle
Name Deadlock heroes from the items they bought in a real match.
Every day: Two real Deadlock matches a day, one from high-rank play and one from any rank, the same for every player; you name each hero from the items they bought. New puzzle: Once a day; a countdown on the home page shows when the next puzzles release (around midnight US Eastern Time).

Lockle is a daily guessing game for Valve's Deadlock. Each day it takes a real match, one from Ascendant and above and one from all ranks, and shows you a player's item build; you work out which hero bought it over four rounds, with the option to play on through the rest of the match. An archive keeps every past day.
About Lockle
Lockle is a fan-made daily guessing game for Deadlock, Valve's hero shooter. Instead of showing a hero, it shows the items a player bought in a real match, and you have to work out which hero they were playing.
There are two puzzles a day, the same for everyone: Ascendant+, taken from a high-rank match (Eternus rank on the day we looked), and All Ranks, which can come from any skill level (Initiate on the same day). Each puzzle shows the twelve players in the match along a bar at the top with their souls, and a board of item slots for the player you are guessing. A time menu lets you see the build at different points in the match, starting early (6:00) when only a few items have been bought.
Each puzzle runs over four rounds. You pick heroes into the guess slots and press Select, and as the rounds go on you learn more about the build. An archive keeps every earlier day's puzzles, and a countdown on the home page shows when the next pair releases.
Lockle suits Deadlock players who follow item builds closely, since a single early purchase can give away a hero's usual play style. It is a free community project and is not affiliated with Valve.
How to play Lockle
- Open Lockle and choose Ascendant+ or All Ranks.
- Look at the items in the build, and use the time menu to see what was bought at each point in the match.
- Pick the heroes you think fit the build and press Select.
- Use what each round tells you to refine your guess over the four rounds.
- Play the other puzzle, or go to the archive for earlier days.

Tips
- Early items are the strongest hint: they usually match a hero's main damage type.
- Spirit-heavy and weapon-heavy builds split the hero pool quickly.
- Check the build at later times in the match to see the full item set before guessing.
- Compare the high-rank and all-ranks puzzles: high-rank builds tend to follow common hero guides.
