Hurdle is a daily word game on Arkadium that strings five Wordle-style puzzles together. The first four are standard five-letter word hunts with six attempts each; the fifth is a final challenge that uses the four previous answers as its starting guesses and gives you only two more tries.
About Hurdle (Arkadium)
Hurdle takes the familiar five-letter guessing format and makes it a relay. Each day brings a new set of five puzzles, the same for everyone; Arkadium's blog publishes a daily hints and answers guide for it.
In each of the first four hurdles you guess a hidden five-letter word in up to six tries. Green tiles mark the right letter in the right spot, yellow tiles a letter in the word but elsewhere, and grey letters are not in the word. Clear a hurdle and you move to the next. The fifth puzzle is the final: your four previous answers are entered as clues, and you have just two guesses to find the last word.
The game runs in the browser on Arkadium's site with ads, and subscribers can remove them.
It suits Wordle players who want a longer daily session with a twist at the end.
