HexHunt is a daily geography game from Teuteuf, the makers of Worldle. Each day you look for seven locations, from cities to landmarks, by choosing the hex on a world map where you think each one is, and you score on accuracy and precision.

About HexHunt

HexHunt is one of the Teuteuf geography games, alongside Worldle, Travle and WhereTaken. Its description calls it a geography confidence game: each day it names seven locations, and for each one you choose the hexagon on the world map where you think it lies. The map is divided into hex cells, and your score depends on how close and how precise your pick is.

The places range widely: capital cities such as Nairobi or Kampala, natural landmarks such as Table Mountain or the Victoria Falls, and sites such as the rock churches of Lalibela. After a round the game shows a short fact about the place, such as Nairobi being the only capital with a national park inside its limits.

An archive holds every past puzzle; your first play of a day counts toward your stats and replays are for fun. The stats page keeps your current and longest streak, your best daily score, your average points per round and a day-by-day history of your seven locations.

It suits players who know roughly where things are and want to be rewarded for being exact, a step on from guessing countries in Worldle.

How to play HexHunt

  1. Open HexHunt and read the first of the day's seven locations.
  2. Choose the hex on the world map where you think it is.
  3. See how close you were, your points and a fact about the place.
  4. Repeat for all seven locations and compare your daily score with your stats.

Tips

  • Zoom in on the region before you pick; precision is part of the score.
  • Use what you know about rivers, coasts and mountain ranges to place cities you are unsure of.
  • Replay past days in the archive for practice; only your first play of a day counts.

Questions
