Flow Free: Hexes is the hexagonal spin-off of Big Duck Games' Flow Free. You connect pairs of matching coloured dots with pipes so that every cell of a hex board is filled and no pipes cross. Besides more than 2,500 puzzles in packs, it has a Daily Puzzles pack with new levels every day.
About Flow Free: Hexes
Flow Free: Hexes takes the Flow Free formula, drawing pipes between pairs of same-coloured dots, and moves it onto boards of hexagons. Each cell now has six neighbours instead of four, which opens more routes and makes the logic of which path must go where feel different from the square original. A puzzle is solved only when every pair is joined and the board is completely covered, and pipes break if they cross or overlap.
Big Duck Games released Hexes in 2016 and still adds packs; the latest update in 2026 brought new free packs. The app has more than 2,500 free puzzles, from easy to extreme, plus a Time Trial mode against the clock.
The daily element is the Daily Puzzles pack, which gives a fresh set of levels each day. As in the original Flow Free, it tracks streaks of days played. The app is free with ads, with optional purchases for extra packs and hints.
It suits fans of Flow Free who want a new geometry to think in, and anyone who likes short, tidy spatial puzzles.
How to play Flow Free: Hexes
- Open the Daily Puzzles pack in Flow Free: Hexes.
- Pick a level and find the pairs of coloured dots.
- Drag from a dot to its partner to draw a pipe through the hexagons.
- Join every pair without crossing pipes, and make sure every cell is filled.
- Finish the day's levels to keep your streak going.
Tips
- Start with dots near edges and corners, they have the fewest routes.
- Hug the walls with long pipes to leave space in the middle.
- Remember each hex has six neighbours, look for diagonal-looking routes.
- Try to solve without redrawing for the best rating.
