Flip Phrase is a free daily word game in the spirit of TV phrase-guessing shows. Each day everyone gets the same hidden phrase as a row of blank tiles; you tap tiles to reveal letters one by one and guess the phrase as early as you can, since fewer flipped letters means a better score. It has streaks, an emoji share grid and a leaderboard.
About Flip Phrase
Flip Phrase is a browser word game by bustabrent, playable on its own site, flipphrase.com, and on itch.io, where it was published in September 2026. Its maker describes it as inspired by classic phrase-guessing shows.
The day's phrase appears as rows of face-down tiles, one per letter, with a short hint such as Phrase. There is no wheel and no letter guessing: you simply tap any tile to turn it over. As soon as you think you know the phrase, you type your guess. The fewer letters you have revealed when you solve it, the better your score, so each flip is a small bet between more information and a higher score.
Everyone plays the same phrase each day, and a new one comes out at midnight Central Time. The game keeps your streak, lets you share an emoji grid of your tiles without the answer, and ranks your score on a community leaderboard.
