Felbor
Six daily puzzles with no single solution: everyone finishes, and the best score wins.
Every day: Six new puzzles every day (Letra, Znake, Path, Loop, Royal and Ocean), the same board for every player with one attempt each, scored on how well you optimise rather than whether you finish, with daily, weekly and monthly leaderboards per game. New puzzle: Midnight UTC.

Felbor is a free iPhone and Android app with six daily puzzles: two word games, a chess-piece placement puzzle and three path-drawing puzzles. Every player gets the same boards and one attempt at each, and the point is not to finish but to score as high as you can. Results go on daily, weekly and monthly leaderboards for each game.
About Felbor
Felbor gathers six original puzzles. Letra is a timed word search where each letter can be used once and long words are worth far more: an eight-letter word scores 21 points, a three-letter one scores 1. Znake links neighbouring letters into words, with multiplier tiles for big scores. Path links hexagons in increasing order, Loop runs each filled circle to an empty one to fill the grid without crossing paths, Royal places rooks and knights so no two of the same type attack each other, and Ocean traces a single route between two boats through sea creatures that each follow their own rules.
None of the puzzles has a single solution. Each day brings a new board for every game, the same for everyone, and you get one attempt at each; you can play whenever you like during the day, but you cannot retry. What gets compared is the score, so there is always a better move than the first one you think of. Each game has daily, weekly and monthly leaderboards, with ties broken by time, and streaks. The days follow UTC, so the puzzles change at midnight UTC.
Away from the daily there is a 240-level story mode with stars and lives, an endless Practice mode with no ranking, a Blitz mode against the clock, group challenges and achievements. Felbor is made by Ignacio Borovsky and came out on the App Store in August 2026. It is free with ads; you can practise without an account, but need one to compete on the leaderboards. The itch.io page notes AI assistance for code, graphics and text.
How to play Felbor
- Install Felbor on iPhone or Android and open today's puzzles.
- Pick one of the six games and read its interactive tutorial if it is new to you.
- Play your single attempt, aiming for the highest score rather than just finishing: long words in Letra, turns and multiplier circles in Loop, squares attacked in Royal.
- Repeat for the other five games during the day.
- Check where you placed on the daily leaderboard for each game, and come back after midnight UTC for new boards.

Tips
- In Letra each letter is used only once, so one long word can beat three short ones.
- In Loop, every turn in a path scores more than going straight, and paths from x2 or x3 circles count double or triple.
- In Royal a piece scores for each empty square it attacks, so place pieces where they cover open ground.
- Warm up in Practice mode, which is not ranked, before using your one daily attempt.
