Boggdle
Swipe three words from the day's letter grid for the highest score.
Every day: One 5x5 letter grid a day, the same for everyone; find your three highest-scoring words and compare with the day's top and average scores. New puzzle: Midnight UTC.

Boggdle is a daily Boggle-style puzzle where only three words count. Each letter on the 5x5 grid has a point value, words of six letters or more earn a bonus, and invalid words cost one of three lives. After your three words, the game shows the day's highest score, the average, the most popular words and the best possible answer.
About Boggdle
Boggdle is a daily word game built on the Boggle idea, but where only your three best words count. Each day there is one letter grid, the same for every player, and a new board is released at midnight UTC.
You make a word by swiping across neighbouring letters, moving horizontally, vertically or diagonally. Every tile on the grid carries its own point value, shown in the corner of the tile, so where a word sits matters as much as its length. A word of six letters or more earns an extra five points on top of its letters.
You start with three lives. An invalid word costs a life; once you are out of lives, an invalid word simply scores zero rather than ending the game. Your final score is the sum of your three words. The game checks words against a modified SCOWL word list and the dictionaryapi.dev service.
When you have played your three words, Boggdle shows the day's highest and average scores, the most popular words and the best possible answer for the board, so you can see how close you came. It suits word game players who like squeezing the most out of a few high value plays rather than listing every word they can find.
How to play Boggdle
- Open Boggdle to see the day's letter grid, each tile marked with its point value.
- Swipe across touching letters, in any direction, to form a word and submit it.
- Aim for high value letters and words of six letters or more, which earn an extra five points.
- Mind your three lives: an invalid word costs one until you run out.
- After your three words, compare your total with the day's highest and average scores and the best possible answer.
Tips
- Length is not everything: a short word made of high value tiles can beat a longer common one.
- Try to reach six letters or more on at least one word for the five point bonus.
- Check a word in your head before submitting while you still have lives to lose.
- Look for less obvious paths, since letters can be joined diagonally as well as in straight lines.
Questions
How many words do I play?

How is the score worked out?
