DailyPuzzle.com
Nine small puzzles a day, from a chess mate to a dingbat, with points and a daily leaderboard.
Every day: A dated set of nine puzzles each day, the same for every visitor: a chess mate-in-N, a sudoku, a crossword, an easy and a hard Sokoban, a dingbat, idioms, ditloids, a jumble and six trivia questions. Each solve earns points on a daily and seven day leaderboard, and yesterday's puzzles come with their solutions. New puzzle: Once a day (the page is dated).

DailyPuzzle.com puts a new set of puzzles online every day: a chess problem, sudoku, crossword, Sokoban, dingbat, idioms, ditloids, a jumble and trivia. Every solved puzzle earns points, and players race up a daily and weekly leaderboard. Yesterday's puzzles and solutions stay on the page.
About DailyPuzzle.com
DailyPuzzle.com is a long-running free puzzle site. Its home page is dated, opens with a menu of the day's games and shows a leaderboard of the day's top scorers beside it. You can play without signing up; after your first solve the site asks for a name and an avatar to put you on the leaderboard.
The chess puzzle shows a position with mate in a set number of moves and the side to move. The Sokoban has an easy level worth 20 points and a hard one worth 40, and records the fewest moves anyone has used that day, with a bonus for being the first to solve it. The daily sudoku and crossword are classic grids; the crossword scores one point per letter filled in.
The word puzzles are small and quick. The dingbat hides a phrase in a picture, the idioms and ditloids (such as 7 D of the W for 7 Days of the Week) ask for common phrases with hints on request, the jumble has you unscramble letters into words, and the trivia asks six questions. Each puzzle links to yesterday's puzzle and solution, so you can check what you missed. The site also has optical illusions and brain teasers that do not change daily.
How to play DailyPuzzle.com
- Open DailyPuzzle.com and pick one of the day's games from the menu.
- Solve it: find the mate, fill the grid, push the boxes or type the answers.
- Collect points for each solve; the first Sokoban solver of the day and the fewest moves earn bonuses.
- Enter a name and avatar after your first solve to join the leaderboard.
- Come back after the day changes and check yesterday's solutions.
Tips
- Do the quick word puzzles first for easy points, then spend time on the chess and Sokoban.
- In Sokoban, plan which box goes to which dot before moving; Reset costs nothing but time.
- Use the sudoku notes to pencil in candidates.
- Hints in the idioms and ditloids are there if you stall; a slow solve still beats none.
