The Special Daily Loop on puzzle-loop.com is a large Slitherlink puzzle, one a day and the same for everyone. You join the dots with lines to make a single loop with no crossings or branches, and each number tells you how many of the four sides around it the loop uses.

About Daily Slitherlink

Slitherlink, which the site also calls Fences and Loop the Loop, is drawn on a grid of dots. Some of the squares between the dots hold a number from 0 to 3. You connect neighbouring dots with line segments to build one closed loop that never crosses or branches, and each number says how many of its square's four sides are part of the loop. Squares without a number can have any count.

Puzzle-loop.com, the site's home for Slitherlink, offers Normal and Hard grids from 5x5 up to 25x30, plus Special Daily, Weekly and Monthly puzzles. The daily is one dated grid, the same for every player; the one for 2 October 2026 was 30 by 30. You left-click between two dots to draw a line and right-click to mark a gap with an X. The site shows ads; patrons can remove them and go back through the last 30 dailies.

Slitherlink rewards players who like a puzzle that looks sparse at first and then opens up once a few corners are settled. If you enjoy drawing a single path in LinkedIn's Zip, this is the slower, number-driven cousin.

How to play Daily Slitherlink

  1. Open puzzle-loop.com and choose Special Daily Loop from the list.
  2. Left-click between two neighbouring dots to draw a line segment; right-click to mark a gap that cannot be part of the loop with an X.
  3. Match the numbers: a 3 has three of its four sides on the loop, a 0 has none.
  4. Join the segments into one closed loop with no crossings, branches or loose ends.
  5. When the loop is closed and every number is satisfied, press Done (or Enter) to check it.

Tips

  • Cross out all four sides of every 0 first; they block the loop and help the numbers around them.
  • Two 3s side by side always have the line between them and the outer lines on both ends of that pair.
  • Every dot has either two lines or none, so a dot with one line and only one open direction must continue that way.
  • A 3 in a corner of the grid has both of its outer corner edges on the loop.
