Celtix
Add walls to a Celtic knot so each colour's pips end up on one ribbon.
Every day: One numbered puzzle a day for everyone, counted from 9 June 2024, with a menu to replay earlier puzzles and a streak. New puzzle: Midnight UTC; the puzzle number counts UTC days and the countdown runs to the next UTC day.

Celtix is a daily puzzle about Celtic knots by Andrew Taylor. Ribbons weave across a grid and bounce off walls that you add where they cross. Place walls so that all the pips of each colour lie on one ribbon of their own, using as few walls as you can.
About Celtix
Celtix turns a Celtic knot into a logic puzzle. The grid is filled by ribbons that weave over and under each other, and twenty coloured pips sit along them. Clicking a point where ribbons cross adds a wall there, and the ribbons bounce off it, which splits and rejoins them into new loops.
The goal is a knot in which all the red pips are on one ribbon, all the green ones on another, and so on, with no ribbon left without pips. The game's instructions say real puzzles generally need 12 to 20 walls, and suggest starting from one pip and adding a wall or two to reach another of its colour, then finishing one ribbon before moving on. Your share card shows how many walls you used.
There is one puzzle a day, numbered from the game's start in June 2024, with a countdown to the next and a menu for earlier days. It keeps your current and best streak, and has colourblind modes that use numbers or shapes instead of colour, a dark mode and a way to move your data to another device. It comes from the same author as 3Doku and Cell Tower.
How to play Celtix
- Look at the grid of woven ribbons and the coloured pips on them.
- Click a point where two ribbons cross to add a wall; the ribbons bounce off it.
- Keep adding, moving or undoing walls to steer each colour's pips onto a ribbon of their own.
- Finish when every ribbon carries pips of one colour only, then share how many walls you used.
Tips
- Work on one colour at a time and complete its ribbon before starting the next.
- Turn on the option that highlights single-colour loops to see which ribbons are already clean.
