Cars & Games is a fan-made site of daily car games inspired by the auctions on Cars & Bids. Every day at midnight Eastern Time it puts out twelve puzzles, the same for everyone: name a car from a blurry or zoomed photo, guess what it sold for, put cars in order or find the odd one out. The Daily Mix runs through all of them in one go.
About Cars & Games
Cars & Games is an independent fan site, not affiliated with Cars & Bids, made for people who follow online car auctions. It turns auction listings into games: the cars, their photos, specs and sale prices are the material for each day's puzzles.
The daily set has twelve games. Blurry, Snapshot and Blurshot show a car blurred, cropped close or both, and you name the model with three misses allowed. Model Guess asks for make and model, Car Match pairs titles with vehicles, and 4 for 4 matches stats and facts to cars. Price Guess, Greater Than, Higher or Lower and Spec Sheet are about which car cost more or what one sold for, Cars in Order asks you to rank them, and Odd One Out hides one car that does not share what the other three do.
All of them are the same for everyone and refresh at midnight Eastern Time; the Daily Mix plays the whole set in one run. Endless versions of each game are there for practice, and the site also has live auction games, an idle garage and an auction league.
It suits car enthusiasts who can tell a generation of a model from its headlights, and anyone who likes guessing what a car will sell for.
How to play Cars & Games
- Open carsandgames.com/daily and pick a game, or start the Daily Mix to play them all.
- In Blurry, Snapshot or Blurshot, look at the photo and choose the car's model from the list.
- In the price games, decide which car sold for more, or estimate a sale price.
- Work through the matching and ordering games using what you know of each car's specs.
- Check Your Stats for your streak, and come back after midnight Eastern Time for a new set.
Tips
- In the blurry photos, the shape of the lights and the roofline give away a model sooner than the colour.
- Mileage, condition and rarity move auction prices as much as the badge, so weigh them in the price games.
- Play the Daily Mix if you want a single score for the day.
- Use the endless versions to practise the games you find hardest.
