Blinkle
An image flashes for five seconds: then answer one question about what you saw.
Every day: One image a day, the same for every player, flashed for five seconds and followed by one multiple-choice question, with one attempt and a leaderboard. New puzzle: Once a day; the site does not state the time.

Blinkle is a daily flash-memory quiz. Each day one image appears on screen for five seconds, then disappears, and you answer a multiple-choice question about it. Faster right answers score more, a daily streak multiplies your points, and everyone plays the same image once for the leaderboard.
About Blinkle
Blinkle is about as short as a daily game gets. You press Play Today's Challenge, an image fills the screen for five seconds, and then it is gone and a question appears with several answers to choose from.
Scoring is about speed as well as being right. A correct answer in under two seconds earns 1,000 points, two to four seconds earns 750, and four to eight seconds earns 500; a wrong answer scores nothing. Signed-in players build a streak that adds 0.1 to a multiplier each day, up to double points at ten days, and lose it if they miss a day.
There is one challenge a day, the same image for everyone, and one attempt, so the leaderboard compares like with like. You can play as a guest under a generated name, or sign in with an emailed one-time code to keep a streak.
How to play Blinkle
- Open Blinkle and press Play Today's Challenge.
- Sign in with your email code or continue as a guest.
- Study the image during the five seconds it is shown.
- Pick the right answer to the question as fast as you can.
- Check your score and your place on the day's leaderboard.
Tips
- Scan the whole image, corners included, rather than fixing on the main subject.
- Count things and note colours; numbers and colours make easy questions.
- Read all the options before tapping, but remember that answers under two seconds score the most.
