Games like Murdle: daily mystery and deduction puzzles
Murdle gives everyone the same small murder case each day, solved with a logic grid that matches suspects, weapons and places. These daily games ask for the same careful reasoning: some keep the murder story, others drop it and give you a plain grid of clues.

For the closest feel, keep the crime and the grid. Daily Murder, Daily Verdict and EveryClue each give one case a day to solve on a deduction grid from the clues, and name the killer at the end; Daily Verdict, an iPhone app, grows from four suspects on Monday to five by Sunday, like Murdle's rising week. Alibi from Stew Prod is a grid whodunit with a twist: the clues lie face down and each one you turn costs you against a par. Alibi from Mind Loft spreads a manor mystery over three logic-grid boards, Alibi Daily Logic Grid is an iPhone app with a 1920s case each night, and Verdict offers three detective logic-grid cases a day at Easy, Medium and Hard. Morning Mystery sets its grid in a travelling caravan, and on many days you also name the Seeker who is lying.
Some games keep the story and drop the grid. Daily Detective gives you ten moves to examine evidence and question people before you accuse. In mystery-o-matic you work out the killer, the weapon and the time from the suspects' statements. Daily Suspect, an iPhone app, reveals clues one at a time and scores you on how few you needed. Alibi from Knotwise has you put every suspect and weapon back in the right room from true statements, and Suspectle and Kludoku do the same on a floor plan, where the murderer is the one left alone with the victim. SudoCrime, from the Portuguese news site Observador, sets the same floor-plan case in Portuguese: place everyone so no row or column holds two people, and the killer is the one alone with the victim. Interrogate from Zalize lets you question the suspects, with ten questions to catch the liar.
If what you like is catching the lie, Alibi from Meridian gives six witness statements to a theft, one of which cannot be true, and Sworn from Mind Loft tells you exactly how many villagers are lying and asks you to name the thief. Clues by Sam is a suspect grid: twenty people to mark innocent or criminal, where every call must already be proven by the clues on the board. Griductive and Gossipdle work the same way, and Puzzleship's Cluest posts six such grids a day from very easy to ultra hard. Clue Manor and Clue Raider move the story onto a map: you place every person from what they say. Lie of Sight puts a family in a room seen from above: you move them about to test what each one says they saw, and the one story that can never hold is the lie. Who Farted? is a knights-and-knaves puzzle in a stuck lift where the culprit always lies, and like Murdle it gets harder from Monday to Sunday.
If you enjoy the grid more than the story, Puzzleship's Logic Puzzles and LogicGridPuzzles.com post six story logic grids a day, the same kind of grid Murdle uses, Noggle gives one themed grid a day with a short list of clues, and Luma Logic Puzzles, Crux and Logic Daily put a daily one in an app. Escape Logic, an iPhone app, keeps the grid but swaps the crime for a locked room: where each item is hidden, which lock it opens and in what order. Einstein Riddles, Zebra Puzzles, Puzzleship's Zebra Puzzles and Puzzleship's House Puzzles give the Zebra Puzzle of houses and their owners. Griddle, Cluemojis and Einstein Enigmas tell the same kind of riddle in emoji, and Einstein Enigmas is built for a phone. Hearsay asks you to sort statements that talk about themselves into truth and lie slots. Like Murdle and Knotwise's Alibi, Clues by Sam grows harder through the week, so early in the week is a good time to start.
Two more case games: Daily Sleuth sends a numbered case file each morning with three suspects to sort out, and Daily Investigation pairs a suspect hunt with a puzzle about finding seven liars and then the killer. Every daily logic grid we list is on the daily logic grid puzzles page (https://dailygamestoplay.com/daily-logic-grid-puzzles).
Questions
Is Murdle the same for everyone each day?
Yes. The daily case is built from the date, so every player gets the same suspects, weapons, places and clues.
What is the closest game to Murdle?
Daily Murder, Daily Verdict, EveryClue and Alibi from Stew Prod keep both the murder story and the logic grid. Daily Detective and mystery-o-matic keep the story without the grid, and Verdict has three logic-grid cases a day at three levels.
Which games have several difficulty levels a day?
Verdict and Griddle have three a day, Alibi from Stew Prod has three case sizes, Kludoku has cases from Beginner to Expert, and Puzzleship's Clue Manor, Cluest, Logic Puzzles and Einstein Riddles, like Zebra Puzzles and LogicGridPuzzles.com, post six puzzles a day of rising difficulty.
Which ones are about spotting a liar?
Alibi from Meridian asks you to find the one witness statement that cannot be true, Sworn tells you how many villagers lie and asks for the thief, Interrogate gives you ten questions to catch the liar, Lie of Sight and Who Farted? each ask you to catch the one person whose story cannot hold, and Hearsay sorts statements into truth and lie slots.
Are they free?
The daily puzzles are free to play, and some sites show ads. Daily Verdict, Alibi Daily Logic Grid, Daily Suspect and Crux are iPhone apps rather than websites, Daily Suspect keeps today's case free and sells a subscription for past cases, Luma Logic Puzzles is free to download with optional subscriptions, and Crux's Hard and Expert dailies need a one-time Premium purchase.
