Today's Clue Raider Lost Relic board on 27 October 2026: a 7 by 7 temple map with the Lamp Room, Inner Sanctum and Antechamber, and clues for Alex, Brooke, Cameron, Dana, Elliott and Finn

Clue Raider is a set of daily logic and language puzzles with an ancient-temple theme. Its main puzzle, Lost Relic, asks you to place six people on a 7 by 7 map of rooms and objects so every clue holds; the one empty square left is where the day's relic lies. Rosetta adds a phrase in an invented language to translate, and Mosaic a picture of shapes to rebuild from clues.

About Clue Raider

Clue Raider is a free daily puzzle site by N.M.A. Pitman, with three puzzles each day under one ancient-temple theme. The home page shows the date and puzzle number, a card for each puzzle, and the names of the last seven Lost Relic dailies.

Lost Relic is the original and the one the site is known for. Each day's map is a 7 by 7 grid with lettered columns and numbered rows, divided into rooms such as the Burial Chamber, the Shrine Room or the Hidden Vault, and filled with objects: pillars, fountains, sarcophagi, statues, chests, thrones and stone benches. Six people each give a short statement: one is in the Burial Chamber, one is in row 4 and column G, one is the only person next to a sarcophagus. Each row and each column holds one person at most, and people can sit on a throne or bench but not stand on other objects. Once everyone is placed, exactly one square is left empty, and that is where the relic lies. Each day's relic has its own name, such as the Tide Sextant or the Whisper Conch.

Rosetta, the newest of the three, gives you a phrase written in the glyphs of an invented language and six example sentences with their English translations. You work out word order, endings and counting from the examples and type the phrase in English. Mosaic asks you to rebuild a mosaic by placing each shape where its clues allow.

A timer runs as you play, Lost Relic gives you three tries to submit, and a stats page keeps your solve rate, times, medals and streak. Each puzzle has a bonus puzzle beside the daily one, and settings let you highlight the objects a clue names or check each placement as you go. The site has no ads and needs no account; a newsletter is offered but optional. It suits players of Murdle or Clues by Sam who like a deduction that plays out on a map, and players who enjoy cracking a language from examples.

How to play Clue Raider

  1. Open Today's puzzle on the Lost Relic card and read each person's clue beside the map.
  2. Select a person, then double-click an empty square, a throne or a stone bench to place them where their clue holds; rooms, rows, columns and nearby objects all count.
  3. Use single clicks to mark a person's initial on squares that might fit, and the X button to rule squares out; a placed person blocks the rest of their row and column.
  4. Submit when all six are placed: the one empty square left reveals the day's relic. You have three tries.
  5. Then try Rosetta: compare the example sentences with their translations and type today's phrase in English.

Tips

  • Start with the most exact clue, such as a given row and column, then work outward.
  • Clues about being the only person somewhere also rule cells out for everyone else.
  • Turn on Highlighting in the game settings: selecting a clue then marks the objects it mentions on the map.
  • In Rosetta, find a word that appears in two examples and see what changes in its English meaning; endings often carry number or role.
