About WRONG!

WRONG! turns the daily quiz around: instead of asking a question, it shows you something that is wrong, missing or out of place, and you fix it. One question might correct a fact, another finish a sequence, another find the odd one out. Each has four choices and a ten-second clock.

The stakes rise through the round. Question 1 is worth 100 points for a right answer and costs 50 for a wrong one or a timeout; by Question 5 it is plus 500 or minus 250. Right answers also earn a speed bonus of 10 points for each second left, so a fast answer counts, and a bad round can end below zero. The five questions take under a minute.

A new Daily round arrives at 00:00 UTC, with the same five questions for everyone so the leaderboards are fair. You need to sign in to play, even for free; your first completed Daily is the ranked one, and after that you can replay the day as Practice. There are Everyone and Friends leaderboards and a daily streak. The free round has ads; an optional Pro subscription removes them and adds a separate Pro Daily round with its own leaderboard and more of the archive.

It suits players who want a minute of quick general knowledge with some risk in it, and who like comparing scores with friends.

How to play WRONG!

1. Open WRONG! and sign in, then press Play today's round.
2. Read the statement and spot the part that is wrong, missing or out of place.
3. Pick the answer that makes it right before the ten seconds run out.
4. Play all five questions; each is worth more than the last, and wrong answers cost points.
5. See your score on the leaderboard, and replay the day in Practice if you like.

Tips

• Answer quickly when you are sure: every second left adds 10 points.
• Late questions carry the most weight, so stay careful on Question 5, where a miss costs 250.
• Look for the underlined or odd word first; it is usually the part to correct.
• Your first finished Daily is the ranked one, so do not start it until you have a free minute.
