Octalect home screen: streak 0 days, Daily Quiz #35, today's theme Wave Makers with 8 questions at 15 seconds each, and a Start Quiz button

Octalect is a daily trivia quiz for iPhone and iPad. Each day brings a numbered quiz on a new theme, with eight multiple-choice questions and 15 seconds to answer each one, so a round takes under two minutes. Topics range across news, culture and general trivia.

About Octalect

Every Octalect quiz has a theme and a number. The home screen shows the day's quiz, such as Daily Quiz #35 on the theme Wave Makers, along with your streak. Each of the eight questions has four answers, A to D, and a 15-second timer; you can also skip a question. After each answer the app shows whether you were right, and at the end you review the answers and can share a score card.

Past quizzes stay in a numbered archive with their themes, from Pole Position to Gold Rush. The daily quiz is free; Octalect Plus is an optional in-app purchase that unlocks the full archive so you can replay earlier quizzes.

Octalect is made by Jesse Russell under the name HeyFutureJesse Software and was released on the App Store in May 2026.
