World Cup-dle (JLA Tactics Board)
Name the World Cup team and year behind a hidden starting XI, using shared club badges.
Every day: One numbered World Cup lineup a day, the same for every player: from the stage, opponent and formation, name the national team and year of a hidden starting XI in five guesses, helped by club-badge overlaps. New puzzle: Once a day (the site does not state the hour).

World Cup-dle is a free daily football quiz from the makers of the JLA Tactics Board. You see a World Cup match's stage, opponent and formation, and guess which national team and which year that hidden starting XI belongs to. Each guess lights up positions where your team's players shared a club with the hidden player.
About World Cup-dle (JLA Tactics Board)
Each World Cup-dle puzzle hides a national team's starting eleven from one World Cup match. You are told the stage of the tournament, the opponent and the formation, and you guess a national team and a year, with five guesses in all.
After a guess, the pitch lights up. A position turns green when a player in your guessed lineup played at the same club as the hidden player at the same time, and yellow when they played for the same club in different years. Either way the club badge appears in that spot, so the pitch fills with Chelsea, Tottenham or Manchester City crests that point you to the right squad and era.
Puzzles are numbered and dated, and there is a daily leaderboard. Today's and yesterday's puzzles are open to everyone; a free account unlocks the full archive and your stats. The game is made by the team behind the JLA Tactics Board, which also runs Prem-dle and Champs-dle.
